Wrong? Fix it in one line.
Real meals rarely log right the first time. Say what changed and Zolt edits the entry it already made, instead of making you rebuild it.

Tea houses are modelled down to the sweetness level and the topping. Try texting it a HEYTEA order and watch it come back with a real number.
92 menus, and hundreds more items every week. The same menus power the calculators on this site, the search in the app, and the coach in your messages, so a number never changes depending on where you looked it up.
Browse every calculator →Every meal you log moves your target
Most food logs stop at a daily total. Zolt compares what you eat with how your weight trends, learns what you actually burn, and adjusts calories and protein to match.
1You log
6
of 7 days
Most days logged is plenty. Zolt marks the gaps instead of guessing at them.
2You weigh in
179.1
lb trend, down 0.6
Daily weigh-ins become a trend, so a salty dinner does not read as fat gain.
3Your target moves
2,150
cal, up from 2,100
Intake against the trend says you burn about 2,450 a day. The target follows.
How the popular food logging apps compare
Most apps log a photo now. Fewer let you log from a text thread, and fewer still use the log to move your target.

Our full roundup of food logging apps →Questions about logging
Is Zolt a free food logging app?
You can start free on iPhone and Android. Zolt Pro is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year.
How accurate is photo food logging?
A photo is an estimate. It cannot see cooking oil, what is under the rice, or exactly how much is on the plate, so Zolt shows the foods and portions it read for you to check. When you have a label, a recipe, or a restaurant entry, use that instead.
Can I log food without opening the app?
Yes. Text the meal to Zolt in iMessage, WhatsApp, or Telegram, or connect ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok and log from that chat. Everything lands in the same diary as the app. You can also log on the web.
Do I have to weigh my food?
No. Estimated portions work if you describe them consistently and fix obvious mistakes. Weigh the foods you eat most often if you want tighter numbers.
Does Zolt have restaurant nutrition?
Yes. Zolt has 92 restaurant menus built to each chain's own rules, so a customized order counts the way the restaurant serves it. The same menus power the nutrition calculators on this site.
Can I save recipes and repeat meals?
Yes. Enter a recipe and its servings once, then log a serving whenever you eat it. That is usually faster than rebuilding the same dinner every week.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Zolt learns your calorie needs from your food log and your weight trend. Apple Watch and other health data add optional context on sleep, recovery, and activity.
Know how much to eat
Log your next meal in the app or text it to Zolt. It starts learning your metabolism from the first weigh-in.
